Integrity is Important
Solomon, the third great King of Israel, spoke of the importance of living with integrity.
Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out (Proverbs 10:9).
The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity (Proverbs 11:3).
integrity was the most critical characteristic followers expected of their leaders. Integrity is what links leaders with their team. Everything depends on the integrity connection!
Why is Integrity Important?
What is it about integrity that makes it the critical link of great leadership? King David of Israel recognized the importance of integrity to life, faith, and relationships, saying:
May integrity and uprightness protect me, … (Psalm 25:21). Because of my integrity you uphold me… (Psalm 41:12). And David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skillful hands he led them (Psalm 78:72)
To have integrity means I am trusting and trustworthy. My word is my bond, I mean what I say, say what I mean, and I am wise in my field of expertise. All these things are critical to life and leadership.
What is Your Integrity Creed?

A Creed of Integrity
I am trusting and trustworthy, believable and principled. My word is my bond. I say what I mean, mean what I say and act accordingly, seeking to do no harm. I speak the truth in love, … walk with integrity…work honestly…speak truth (Psalm 15:2).
